camping.
camping was absolutely amazing. 5 days of no work or school was heaven.
went in monday and set up. our free tent from the city of orange was alright until it came to putting on the rainfly thing and the directions were retarded. probably why it was free. so ry wanted to light the tent on fire by the time we were done. haha.
tuesday was his birthday. took like a mile and a half hike along the train tracks to upper trestles. nobody on the beach except surfers. so insanely rad. its right out in front of where nixon had a house. pretty coool. tanned and watched ry surf for like 4 hours. needless to say i was a lobster and had to make the mile and a half hike back.... carrying 2 surfboards and then we each had a bag. and then had to hike straight up a friggin hill to get to the parking lot. thought i miight die. hahahaha. had dinner at el mariachi. two years in a row now for his birthday. tradition maybe.
wednesday we were pooped so we went to irvine spectrum and saw pineapple express.
thursday we went down to the harbor and he surfed and i chilled and worked on some school work, then we played some tennis and went back and had dinner.
today we woke up super early and packed up and came home.
im sad and i want togo back. my vacation was not long enough!
super funny moment: were waiting for someone to come outta the handicap shower cause its huge and your shit doesnt get wet. well ry says someones in there and neither of us will try the door. he puts his ear up TWICE and says theres somebody in there. well after 10 minutes im like wtf so i open the door....not a single person in there the whole time!!! hahahahahahha.
such a great week. i love spending my time with him. we'll be back next year to keep the tradition going!!
