the years have been short, but the days were long
i feel so OLD. watching "i <3 the 90s" has got me feeling like a fogie. man, they brought up mortal kombat, and i think my pacemaker skipped a beat. johhny cage, i still want to hit it.
i finally got my mom to capture something she lost in her short-lived childhood. last nigth we ventured out to kirklevington park to learn how to ride a bike. it's kinda weird teaching the parent how to ride a bike, although learned on my own. it was fun, and funny. mom's a great sport. we're heading back there tonight.
while we were there, there was a severe thunderstorm warning broadcasted on the park's intercom. it was REALLY loud and static-y, and the announcer had a monotonous voice that would fade into an echoing drone. scary. felt like a something from orwell's 1984. eek.
man, last night i made the most delectable dish - peach cobbler (from scratch, of course). i usually don't brag about my cooking/baking skills (skeeyals), but DAAAMN that was good. i made a big dish, yields 10, and its nearly gone. okay, new life plan: open up a pastry shop / bakery in a rural town. hmm, needs a name. any suggestions?
