Gabriel is five weeks old now and in those five weeks I have only been able to get one usable picture of him. Every other picture is blurry beyond being usable. It's starting to really piss me off.
Other than no good pictures things have settled down into a pretty good routine. He loves the Babyhawk and passes out almost instantly when I put him in it and walk around for a minute or two. We went to the library on Monday and got library cards. Sean checked out a book on subtraction. I like this part of math, the preschool part I can actually help him with. When he gets to high school it's going to be daddy's turn to work with him. Caitlin is spending most of her time pretending to be a cat or puppy and likes to pretend to play fetch and eat fake treats out of our hands. We've been housebound more than I would like because Gabriel hates the car and screams the entire time we're in there. I can't wait until he's a couple months older so I can put one of the dvd players facing him and put in a baby movie or something. That's the only thing that helped Caitlin stop screaming in the car.
I've been working out for three weeks now and I lost five lbs in the first week and then nothing. It all just stopped. It amazes me that I'm working out, eating less and what I am eating is low fat/low calorie and I'm still not losing weight. I've been doing aerobics and pilates. I love the pilates (just ordered two more dvds) but I've decided that whoever came up with aerobics was a sadist. There is nothing worse than feeling like a fat ass except maybe feeling like a horribly uncoordinated fat ass. I need to get a treadmill. I like walking on treadmills especially if I can watch tv while doing so.
They're pouring concrete next door and Sean wants to go watch so I've got to go now.
