A quick update...

Wow, for once I can say I havn't updated because I've been busy rather than just being tardy. Reading and V were great albeit chaotic. Great practise for what was to come.

I'm all moved into my new abode in Islington. Which is perfect in terms of location (central London whopee!/and only half an hour walk from Rock Sound) but not so perfect in terms of money. This means I wont be able to party so much this semeister but that's good from a work point of view. After all this is my third year so I should knuckle down I guess. Still wish my student loan cheque would hury up and arrive as it sucks taking lots of money from the olds.

My work placement at Rock Sound is going really well. The people who run it are all nice and friendly for the majority. Sure I have to do shitty cliche work experience jobs, like making the tea and organizing their cd/issue archives, but I also get on the guestlist for any London gigs I'm reviewing and more free cd's than I can listen to end on end in a week. I'm learning alot about the ins and outs of the magazine just by just being in the background as well, which is what a novice like me needs. Made a mate of a guy called Ed, who is the other work placement bloke there, and he asked if I wanted to write for his website www.airwavesback.com. Might take him up on it since it's good practise for my writing.

What's more I'm getting to interview my first band tommorow, called Happylife. Ok I'd never heard of them before now either, but still it's my first proper band interview and I'm more than a little nervous about it. If that wasn't enough I'm getting to interview Kittie next week as well. All over the phone but still it's a start. All good stuff and I feel a sense of purpose being thrown in at the deep end. Just hope I'm up to it. If things go well I'm gonna ask if they still want me to write for them freelance after the placement is over. But I mustn't get ahead of myself...

Shame my tutor cant see what an oppourtunity this is because he went ape shit at me for wanting time off uni. He's such a bigot. Can't see past his little bubble and thinks his course is the be all and end all of life. Ironically I'm doing a degree so I can get a job at the end of it. Annoyingly though because of him I'm gonna have to take time off Rock Sound to go to some lectures that arn't actually that essential. Still he marks my work so there is little I can do. Well apart from raise the issue with the dean that is.

Whilst everything is going well (more so than ever before) life is alttle like a juggling act right now. Uni work, working at Yates, Rock Sound and having a realtionship is proving to be quite a task. Think I may have pissed off my lovely gfriend Becka as a result of not being able to spend much time with her. It's hard to please everyone but I will make it up to her when things are a little less hectic. Same for my mates that I havn't had a chance to speak to much.

Well thats it for now. O yeh and I'm blonde. Havn't got round to the whole lip piercing thing yet tho...
