bare in Toronto Set Designs
Miles Pasick blogged about the set designs he did for the Toronto premiere of bare. He also did the best poster I've seen to date, also available at his blog here. [Warning: NSFW]
Among the work that he did was this amazing stained glass window available at his blog here. In designing this, he took the Garden of Good and Evil as inspiration, and cast Peter and Jason as two Adams. He shares his take on this:
On the first panel, we see two Adams (rather than an Adam and Eve), who are represented as the characters from the play. The one Adam (Peter) accepts the forbidden fruit of the tree of life from the serp[e]nt, while the other Adam (Jason) chastises the serp[e]nt. [U]ltimat[e]ly, the two Adams' are banished from the garden, seen on the opposite panel.
*I have more to say about Peter's banishment but I'll take the discussion over to my journal as it's not fic, and so as to insulate this community from possible wank.
