(no subject)
The hurricanes have come and gone and little more happened here than an influx of refugees in the area now and a butt-load of limbs in my yard.
Helen and Jenny decided they needed a "Cousin Weekend" (they left the "Female" disclaimer out, but that's okay), so they scheduled this past weekend for the two of them in Hot Springs. They did the mineral baths, the massages, the facials, the pedicures, etc (thus why it was okay that I was not included ;) ). Since Lee and Jordan were going to be hunting, Creston came to stay with me. It's the first time I've had the chance to keep her since she was in diapers, and we had a blast!
Friday night we ate at Johnny's then went to the Edge of Madness haunted houses. She was so funny in the way she would get right up in the people's faces (have I mentioned she's only 11?) and growl at the monsters/folks that growled at her. I am guessing she was probably the smallest customer they had because it seemed they all wanted to try to scare her.
Saturday we went to the Art Festival then to Monroe to buy some books (she is currently tearing through the Lemminy Snicket? series - she read books 1 and 2 in 2 days apiece). After books, we wandered aimlessly in the mall for a bit then headed home. We visited with Leslie for a bit and read our books.
Sunday we went to church (she, mom, Ed, and myself) and visited with Leslie and rode ATV's before Lee showed up to take her home. We had a great time!
In other news, last night I happened to catch a profile shot of myself in the mirror (wearing nothing but my underwear). It wasn't pretty. Today Shelly and I began our exercising. I've got to lose weight before it gets too cold to exercise. Okay, enough for now. I am at Shelly's and it's time to head home.
