Annie, that is such a lovely story to read. And I can totally relate about being a non-plant person. LOL. I joke about having black thumbs instead of green ones. But just because I don't get into gardening or plants, I can still appreciate that your mom loved it all, and I sure loved seeing the beautiful pictures she used to take, capturing all those bright colors and vibrant greens.
It's amazing, isn't it? How we may not think these little things seep in, but somehow they do. I'm not a religious person and there are so many things I'm unsure of in that regard, but somehow in this case I can almost see it as Susan whispering those answers in your ear when the moment calls for it. Mom-knowledge, indeed. :)
