Anybody here reading anymore?
I just went back 300 posts catching up for the last month or so.
Life here has calmed a bit. I finished with school 3 weeks ago. My graduation is this Saturday!!
I'm so so happy to be done with school! But I'm also so so discouraged by the job hunt. I really thought that getting two bachelor's degrees, doing an internship for the last two years, joining professional societies and getting scholarships would make me a shoo in for a job once I graduated. I've sent out and applied to about 50 jobs so far, and haven't gotten an interview yet. Boo. I can stay at the internship as long as I'm a student. Which means I can go straight to grad school and stay. But, I was really looking forward to time off from school and making more money.
I love being home more. My house is cleaner, I cook more of my meals, I get to spend time with friends and family who I have neglected over the last three years. And the weather has been perfect lately. Low humidity and the windows stay open all the time. Soon it will be cold and I will turn into a hermit. This winter I'll have time for craft projects since I won't have school. Yay!
I decided last minute to go to DragonCon over Labor Day weekend. Had a blast as always. Thanks Bill for talking me into going and thanks Pam and Addie for the bed space. I've posted the pictures on FB, but I don't think they are on Flickr yet.
The week before last I took off work for the week to use up the rest of my vacation. I went to Huntsville for a few days. It was really fun to hang out with friends I hadn't seen there in awhile. Then I came back to Louisville and just took it easy.
I could go on and on with more details, but I think that is a summary of what I have been up to.
