I suspect I might be alone on this one, but I was really glad the Cybermen didn't have a bigger role. I feel like they've been kind of played out and, like the Daleks, need a bit of a break. We have a perfectly good "Big Bad" in the Silence.
One thing I didn't understand - in the shop, how did everyone know who the Doctor was? I got the impression he'd only been working there a few hours and yet they all seemed to treat him like old friends. Was he emitting some kind of brainwashing thing to make them all trust him? (Now I sound like Craig.)
I have to say I actually thought they were going to turn Craig into a real Cyberman a la Yvonne Hartman, and I thought, Wow. Dark. I was glad they didn't, though. I think you're spot on about the Doctor here and how he's feeling (we skipped a lot of time though - this is the kind of thing that makes me wish for longer series), and I like what you said about Craig. I was also pretty impressed that they managed to make a baby an actual character. Good writing
