A Good Morning, A Good Day

Apologies for the Pointless Post of Angst yesterday. It was late and I wasn't feeling myself. Let's all pretend that it didn't happen shall we?

Met phantomreviewer in town this morning. There are at least ten charity shops in Orpington and over the course of about three hours, we raided every single one of them.

This was my final haul.

From top to bottom we have, Martyr (Elizabethian Spy Novel), At the Back of the North Wind, Hogfather, The First Men on the Moon, Poems of the Underground, I Coriander, Wolf Hall, Wolf Brother, Equal Rites, The Thirty Nine Steps, Mort and The Lost World and Other Stories.

Wolf Brother came from Poundland, but all the others came from a variety of charity shops. And none of them cost me more than £2, 25.

Pretty good haul I think.

phantomreviewer  meanwhile got a book on the Greek Gods in the Twenty First Century (Artemis as a dog walker), a book on historical bad guys, the history of Britiain, the collected sayings of Oscar Wilde, Persuasion, Euripides, two history DVD's and a Sherlock Holmes cartoon, which all went into the Big Bag of Nerd.

We also stopped by Costa for Coffee and Tea, Macdonalds for a bacon sandwich and an egg MacMuffin and Crispy Cod for Chips.

All in all a good morning. I spent the afternoon watching 84 Charing Cross Road and Anna and the King, reading the The Thirty Nine Steps and working on some writing.

So a good day really. Thanks Phantom

On a different note entirely yesterdays post was my 200th LJ entry. Which is pretty cool if you ask me.

friends, books, phantomreviewer
