I kind of love Toronto.
It's the kind of city where you show up and are kind of surprised you don't know your way around, since it feels so comfortable and familiar.
It's kind of the best of everything - the friendliness of the midwest, the restaurants of New York, the amazing tiny markets and crazy shops of Europe, plus, composting.
Seriously. I went to street festival and they had COMPOSTING. On the street.

And there was hanging out and TV watching, and it was generally good. Though it's funny how easily my third-wheel sense kicks in, even with my brother.

Also, hilarious border encounter:
Customs Agent: What's the purpose of your visit?
Me: Personal
CA: You're going to be more specific than that,.
Me: I'm visiting my brother.
CA: How do you know him?
Me: Umm....he's my brother.

this was seconded only on the way out when the US agent asked me what my profession was and I literally couldn't get a sentence out.
I love being jobless.

Today was a day where my productivity rivaled that of a houseplant. Funny how the more I have to do, the less I can muster the strength to get out of bed.
