2 and 5?

I've always been a bit concerned about the common admonition to eat "a wide variety of fruit and vegetables" because I often eat very similar meals day after day, for example I make exactly the same salad every day as part of my lunch. So yesterday I decided to list what fruit and veg I'd eaten in the day, not being concerned about the quantities, just the spread. All my meals were homemade so I knew what was in them.


This is roughly in chronological order throughout the day:
banana
strawberry
blueberry
blackberry
raspberry
carrot
cucumber
snow pea
capsicum
tomato
cauliflower
onion
garlic
ginger
potato
mandarin
avocado
chili
coriander
lime
broccoli
green bean
lemon
basil

Other plant foods I ate:
oats
cinnamon
rice
pepper
corn
wheat
cashew

I think I'm not doing as bad with variety as I assumed.
