One of Europe's best-known and most popular medieval music bands (last album went to #15 on the German charts) is coming to the US for the first time in their fifteen year history. Corvus Corax, known as "The Rolling Stones of medieval music," will bring their rowdy, raucous, high-energy stage show to the East Kingdom in mid-October. With 8 men on stage and a ton of huge drums, bagpipes, and more, there's plenty to see and hear. All songs are period and instruments are hand-made and historically accurate. The band's exclusive US concert debut will take place throughout the day at the
PA Ren Faire on October 15, 16, 22 and 23 in Manheim, PA, a little over an hour from the Barony of Bhakail (Philadelphia) Discount tickets are available at
IsoTank Music. If you'd like to hear clips of some of their music, make use of the Corvus Corax Klangtaverne which is accessible from the
Dancing Ferret Discs page, or the band's brand new
MySpace Music profile which currently has two full songs posted.
