Guess who gets to be in charge of games for kids at the church picnic a week from today? That's right, it's yours truly. If anyone has any super-cool ideas for games (that is, games that won't get me ex-communicated - well, actually, those could be fun to hear about too, but don't expect me to subject the kids, the parents, the rector, and myself to them in this setting . . . ) let me know, though I should have plenty to keep everyone busy even without additional games.

Speaking of games, I'm still playing around with the piratey world campaign idea. Wondering whether it would be a good idea to have all or part of it be online, via LJ and/or AIM chats. Also debating the system - though I'm leaning towards D&D, since even though GURPS is more flexible and I generally like the breadth of GURPS options better, D&D can be much quicker to assemble and run. And then there's the issue of level - while I'm perfectly happy with starting off at level one or even as a commoner/apprentice-level character, I know a lot of people want to start out with a more defined version of their ideas. So if anyone has anything they'd like to say about system/levels/location to play/whatever, feel free. I've already got captainkarsh and wolviepris down on my list of people who are strongly interested in playing, and there are several more who are on my list of people to invite if I ever get things set up to the point where I'm ready to invite players.

In other news that people may find interesting, I've stumbled upon a ratings community where you can find out what tarot card you are - eternal_seer. Thought some of you might be interested; I'll post my result when I get stamped.
