Specifically I hate today's snow. There was an inch on the ground when I left for the coffee shop this morning, and it was raining in Boulder, not even snowing, so I stopped for a movie after work. Started driving home and discovered that all that rain in Boulder had been snow up here in the mountains. ...and it was still snowing. (and it's STILL snowing) Driving up the lane I got the car stuck...so...an hour to dig it out..first had to trek up to the house and get a shovel in knee deep snow. FINALLY got the car unstuck..sort of. Drove three feet and it got stuck again.
Repeat.
I had to dig the car out 3-4 times to get it up to the house, took almost 3 hours to go less than a quarter mile. THEN I had to dig out the garage so I could park, then the walk so I could actually get to the house.
FINALLY got inside..only to discover that in three hours that it took me to get the car up to the house, the dogs had been -very- naughty, and I will have to replace the carpet in the hallway here at the house. I am NOT pleased. ... but I am finally getting some hot soup in me, and have managed not to throttle either dog yet. A hot shower helped. Oh, and of course on top of all that..because of the snow, the satellite is out, so no TV, and the power keeps flickering.
Lucky for me we've got over 800 movies up here, so I'm not -completely- lost.
A picture of the snow so far...and as I said, it's still coming down REALLY hard.
Best of luck to ladystarblade, gaelbrady, and marcgunn (who were all flying into Denver today) I hope you made it safe, and I hope you don't get stuck!
