The three-month long Christmas season is approaching its climax, and everyone is starting to go home. I'm going to be staying in the city for a few more days, trying to do two major papers about traffic intersections (don't ask). I actually noticed your username in the 'friend of' list of fastbodies the other day. I had a class with her last year and someone told me that she had an lj.
As for the "ARA", I've never gone to a meeting - I just read about the meeting in the Annex Gleaner. Have they only just recently started admitting lowly tenants? It would be intersting to go - we could yell "SHAME!" at people who get all NIMBY about social housing.

I friended fastbodies to have her in my reading list, but I don't think I've formally met her once (although you can't miss her on campus...). She's supervisor to someone I know though. She's been writing about her travels.
"ARA" hahaha, what an unfortunate acronym.
As for tenants, I don't know how recent it is, but I got their newsletter in my building (Shoppers Drugmart tower) and it did mention that it hadn't always been the case. They had written about how they had successfully fought against lots of buildings adding on extra floors, so they seem to not like the idea of dense urban housing. Too bad my only knowledge of urban planning amounts to reading the Toronto Star.
