Tonight
marciachristine and I are going to see
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, using the free movie passes I won the other day. I'm looking forward to it, I loved the first one. Plus the cinematography looks amazing in the previews with the pirates having sea creature faces.
Then this weekend we are going to go see
Lady in the Water by writer-director M. Night Shyamalan. I wonder what twist awaits us in this story. I'm sure I'll be impressed, I've loved all his movies so far.
Last night I watched
Carlito's Way: Rise To Power, from the producers of Scarface and Carlito's Way. It's the story about the early years of the gangster legend Carlito Brigante in 1960's crime-ridden East Harlem. You may remember that Al Pacino played Carlito in his later years in the first movie, as a Puerto Rican ex-con pledging to stay away from his former drug dealing ways when he gets released from prison. Anyways, this movie was very well done with great performances by Jay Hernandez, Mario Van Peebles, Sean Combs (read P-Diddy), and Luiz Guzman.
