The Art of Nene Thomas

Symphony in Black and White

Nene Tina Thomas began her professional career in 1994 when she was approached by wizards of the Coast to contribute work to the popular card game, "Magic: the Gathering." Nene continues to smash through preconceived notions of what a watercolor painting should look like with her exuberantly colorful award wining pieces such as Wisdom or Always. Nene's style has been described as "...masterful paintings of startling complexity, as she is unafraid to chart new waters and blaze new trails...". Nene's paintings have a mass appeal that both compliments & transcends the fantasy market.

Some of my favorite pieces of her work are:

Lavender Serenade (Orchestral part 1)
Rhapsody in Gold (Orchestral part 2)
Symphony in Black and White (Orchestral part 3)
Prelude in Blue (Orchestral part 4)
Halo
Oracle
Storm Runes
Domino
Midnight Blue
Treasure
Butterfly Wreath Yellow
Moon Unicorn
Pumpkin Patch
Aquamarine
Omen
Snap Dragon
Dragon Moon
