since when did it get so fuckin freeeeezing?
anywho, the killers were awesome. i was a little late getting there, in that i missed both of the opening acts (Ambulence Ltd. & Surferosa). but i got there just in time for the set change before the killers went on. (....set change? im such a drama geek). They opened with "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine" (first track on the album), which i predicted, hehe. "Mr. Brightside" was played third, so there wasn't much of a build-up for me... but it was still the most moving for me, in a good way. i just love that song so goddamn much. They ended their short (40-45min.) set with "Somebody Told Me", and then did two more songs for the encore.... the last of which was "All These Things That I've Done", which is my second favorite song on the album. It was the PERFECT end to a perfect set. They sounded exactly like the recording, and Brendan Flowers' (yes, real name) voice is just to die for.... not to mention he has an impeccable fashion sense (unlike his bandmates).
anywho, i exited the venue satisfied and refreshed....and then was bombarded by flyers being thrown at me from every direction. i politely accepted all of them and stuffed 'em in my bag (only to be tossed into the nearest trash recepticle on the following block). until
this gentleman (second from left) handed me a flyer for his (HORRIBLE) band and then felt the need to "compliment" my fashion sense as "killer... very much my kind of style" !! at the time, he was not as offensively dressed.... in fact he was attired in simple jeans and a jacket. however, when i went home i looked up his band's website only to find this monstrosity. HIS kind of style?!?!? ...excuse me while i go burn my outfit.
p.s. here are pictures of the new hair, i promised.... (including said "killer" outfit)
god, i'm such a fag
