so, i have a job! it's a longterm temp gig at an insurance company doing customer service for providers. everyone seems really nice and like they genuinely enjoy coming to work (?!) and the company seems to treat everyone pretty well?? so that's all strange. the hours could be better (8-4, out in quincy) and so could the pay, but the dress code seems to not exist and the hours are weird enough that the trains aren't packed, so. job! hooray!
and we decorated for christmas! some of my decorations are up on
my crafty blog thing and i am PRETTY PLEASED with how they came out. i have a couple more in the works, and some other crafty things i need to get to work on for christmas! (and i need to get electricity to the other side of my room so i can start sewing again.)
AND i saw max and sherri this week! well, mostly max. i went late in an effort to miss matt pryor's terrible set, but no dice :/ max is still pretty great though! and max and sherri are still the cutest! and dudes in the crowd have begun yelling "YOUR BABY IS ADORABLE" instead of like, song requests, which is A++. (i am still REALLY HAPPY that max played "i got your money" because !!!) (he also let the crowd choose his last song, and the consensus was on "a walk through hell" EXCEPT it ended up being the most exuberant and triumphant version of that song i have ever heard! so good.) (andddd i think this was my first time seeing max/say anything where he DIDN'T play "alive with the glory of love" which is pretty weird?? lots of good songs that he never plays though. he said he's been trying to switch up the solo setlists a little more.)
OH AND BOOKS: i really loved the raven boys despite its structural problems, half world is dark but really interesting and original middlegrade/younger ya, and i am currently reading code name verity and in love with everyone?? so that will end well, i'm sure.
