so, i started researching for my nano this week. "researching for my nano" pretty much means reading wikipedia and ich and borrowing life on the murder scene from kl though, cos i'm writing that bandom story i've been talking about forever. the one where ryan is sherlock holmes and bob isn't a werewolf and pete and patrick have a youtube feud. there are evil twins and shenanigans! it's gonna be awesome! (and i spent most of today being absolutely DELIGHTED that the universe seems to support my theory about mcr thinking bob is a werewolf. why else would they wait until after the full moon to announce his departure?!)

hm, what else? i'm almost done with s7 of friends. i really liked s6 (too much according to some people) but s7 is a little boring. also i spoiled myself for s8 on wikipedia the other day, ugh.

i liked supernatural well enough, but that was not their best season opener. and grandpa freaks me out.

oh, i've read some books! i finished bloodhound by tamora pierce, which i really liked. now i'm reading the protector of the small quartet (the kel books) to help maintain my sanity during this friends thing. i love them so much. like, too much to actually explain in any way that makes sense, but BASICALLY kel is my hero and i wish i could be more like her. and these books have the best cast of characters out of any of the tortall serieses. we have neal and owen and raoul and lalasa and buri and cleon and yuki and the stump and EVERYONE ELSE EVER. except draco-lite. he can suck it. but everyone else is amazing! and kel thinks jon is a douche! but anyway, neal gave kel a book about women heroes for christmas one year, so i'm sort of writing a fic (in my head) where the book talks about the lady knight who is friends with beka cooper, and this somehow leads to neal and kel hearing about beka from george. and neal and george possibly making out. while researching their own book about beka cooper. #hot

i also read that swords & dark magic anthology thing! i thought i didn't like it much, but then i went through to pick out the stories i actually finished and it was most of them. scott lynch's was my favorite (it's about a killer library!!) but i liked a lot of them. i think i just don't really like short stories. there's not enough time for world-building. (which is why i like shorter fic! i don't NEED world-building if i know the 'verse!) i have another anthology here to read (dark and stormy knights), but i'm putting it off for a bit. i still don't know what to read next though :/

fic: thoughts on, books: general, bandom, tv: spn, tv: friends, books: tortall
