i'm wearing my happy face today.
shows: the damion show was SO GOOD. i really liked both of the other openers, and damion & his band killed it. also: ian and gavin have MATCHING QUESTION MARK TATTOOS. i am dead from the adorable. i love his whole band so much that i can't pick a favorite band member. and then it was super-late so we only got to hear one austin lucas song. i'm bummed that we missed the rest of his set, cos he sounded awesome, but it was a school night!
the jukebox show was similarly awesome. except i still don't know what was going on with that one opener, who is maybe local as they are doing a show at backbooth next month that i will not be attending. they sounded okay, just not my thing, and the singer was seriously a vampire. drink up buttercup were so stupid and cute though! like a cross between the venetia fair and dead man's bones. and jukebox! i thought the sound at the social was off- too loud and the mics were a bit too echo-y for my tastes, but the boys were great. jesse continues to be illegal amounts of adorable, and i liked the songs from the new album. also: we met fangirls! just when i think i've met all of the fangirls in orlando, people eavesdrop on our conversations about ryan ross and BAM! new fangirls. heh.
accordions: it's national accordion awareness month! since i really like accordions, and have crushes on several notable accordion players (dan romer, valerie, boba fett, etc) i have taken it upon myself to post something about accordions every day on tumblr. you can check it out here and i am more than happy to take some suggestions/requests. i have a vague list of things to post later this month, but i'm trying not to post the same people every day.
tv: i'm putting farscape on pause. i'll probably pick it back up in a couple of weeks, but i need a break. so in the meantime, i'm watching avatar (need to finish the series before the movie!) and the west wing (it makes me happy in every way there is) and doctor who (i may or may not be randomly downloading episodes and rewatching them on a regular basis) and i don't even know. but i'm excited anyway.
books: i FINALLY started soulless! OH MY GOD IT IS AMAZING. i am kind of outrageously in love already. also: i might have a new all-time favorite vampire, holy shit. i need my coworkers to shut the fuck up during lunch so i can read more.
infinitus: who's all going? is anyone going to the thing at potterland? i think i'm gonna get a day pass for saturday, and if people are going to the thing i'm in. but i don't know if i feel like hanging out with a whole bunch of strangers for $100.
