I am sort of madly in love with Billy Crandall. Um, otherwise, the book was good but the ending sort of blew. I know I am sometimes all for realistic endings, but I wanted goddamn closure and kisses! Gosh!
Also, I love love love this passage:
"I need to tell you something," Billy says.

The late September fog has moved in to embrace us without notice when Billy finally says it. It is not so much a declaration but rather a statement of truth.
The earth is round.
The state stone of Michigan is the Petoskey.
I am in love with you.
[...]
"We can't be that way with each other."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want you to end."
