why am i so BUSY? argh.

friday: didn't sleep thursday night. again. sigh. i left argo at 7am, delivered the papers, and came back to my room. took a shower and sat around wishing i could go to sleep, but i had to go to the (public) library as soon as it opened (9am) so no sleep for lisa. went to the library and took out two where's waldo books. dropped them off in the argo office shortly before coming to the conclusion that i was going to die from a caffeine overdose. it was excessively painful. i ended up taking a nap at 11:30am. i set my alarm for 1:30, but decided that sleep was more important than class, since i had to drive home that night. woke up at 2:30pm. as soon as my roommates noticed i was awake, they told me to skip class and go to the beach with them. i told them and told them that i couldn't, that i had to go to work, that it was a very busy day, etc etc. they said okay and pouted. came online. hita immediately IMed me and asked if i wanted to go to the beach. ::facepalms:: we went. i talked to a shady psychic. we brought kay, who was super-cute. it was freaking GORGEOUS out. eeeeeeeeee, awesome beach day. definitely worth fucking up the rest of my day for.

i finally got to work at 4:30 (oops?) and scanned the where's waldo books for our centerfold. blah blah. went back to my room at 5:30, packed up, sped home. i made it home in record time, but was still late. whatever. went to the wedding.

apparently daina was 45 minutes late to the church and my mom told anthony that "maybe it was an elaborate april fools prank after all." SNERK. uncle bob and joani were super-drunk. it was not the worst wedding i've ever been to, which i think is thanks, at least in part, to alcohol. i had a long beach iced tea (oh god it was horrible, do people really drink that?) and a malibu something or other (i forgot that i dislike malibu). i talked to chris's girlfriend kim for ages, and she is nice and i like her a lot. i called uncle bob my drunkle and he laughed so hard he almost fell down, ahaha. we continued the family tradition of borrowing any cameras that are left lying around and taking pictures of people's asses. heee. and we stole a napkin and a cigar for vinnie, who wasn't there. i didn't want to get up for the bouquet tossing, so i told everyone i had eloped, and my one aunt believed me. ::blinks:: continuing another family tradition, uncle vinnie didn't even say hello to me! awesome.

saturday: i slept super-late. i finished ender's game and started ender's shadow. i made my mom go to three different stores so she could buy clueless. ... what was i saying about being busy? ;) i watched SNL cos death cab was on. watched other random tv and movies. stayed up way too late watching random tv.

sunday: woke up disgustingly early for circle k's club officer trainer. i've been club editor before. hell, i've been district editor before, and therefore trained the club editors. but i still had to go. and i got trained by freaking mike, which whatever, oy. then we played a big game of telephone (to prove a point about gossip). the original statement was "being kind to others makes a difference." when it got to me it was "being kind to others and making a difference." when it finished, it was "being kind to others and making a difference makes hummus taste better." O;-)

got to hang out with a bunch of people i don't see enough of, but was also sadly bored out of my goddamn mind. sigh. oh well. then i went home and my mommy cooked me dinner AGAIN and then i came back to school. at which point i realized that i had left my pillow at home. ::facepalms:: so now i have a new pillow and a new tinkerbell pillowcase!

i'm so excited about my editing project. we submitted our proposals today, and i was going to edit my friend's newsletter, but my prof pointed out that that would work better for the design project while my design idea would work better for my editing project. so i am going to create a comprehensive style guide for the argo, which i have been trying to do forever. and she made me feel good inside cos she was all "normally, that wouldn't be a good editing project, but since i already KNOW that you're a really good copy-editor, your project doesn't need to be about copy-editing." squee!

also: baseball season. joy. (heh.) my roommate is freaking OBSESSED with the yankees, so we have to watch every single game.

also also: one of my random roommates for next year facebooked me. she's a freshman. she was born in 1987. 19-freaking-87! this is a travesty. i hope she isn't serious about this academic/wellness court thing. (22 roommates in 5 years! that's disgusting.)

life: la famille, i believe in the sand beneath my toes, life: circle k, life: stockton
