i think they should be punished by making ferrari and mclaren swap cars for the rest of the season, see if the drivers have any sort of advantage then!
alternatively, a fine and making the drivers use last years cars?
100mill is a stupid sort of fine. where does that money end up? childrens charities? or the FIA/ferraris pockets? # bah.
also, cant mclaren just appeal to a real proper court? if i were them, i wouldnt hand over 100mill and the constructors championship without a fight...
Honda got "officially" let off earlier in the year, also they aren't winning the championship.
I believe Renault are also involved whatever they say (but Briatore is trying to buy QPR with Bernie Ecclestone so they aren't going to get punished), Toyota have been caught in the past, as for the other I get the feeling Williams and Sauber have been looking over their shoulder in case someones watching.
McClarens fine will be half of that for starters because of the money received for points already won.
They will appeal undoubtedly, depending if the FIA let out the names of the other implicated teams or not will show how vigerous it gets.
I also think McClaren will be trying doubly hard to win at the weekend.
