Just clocking in
Current project progress:
Hav realized I don't actually know the overall plot-arc for this book. Suddenly understanding how middle books of series feel as if they're just marking time. I know all the HORRIBLE WANGSTY SUFFERING the characters go through, but not where and how this particular episode should end. There's no grand climax in the plot at this point.
(I want to make some sort of very immature comment about how there are lots of climaxes, given the sexual content of the book, but that would be-- Shit, too late.)

There are a couple of spots that could be the climax of the book, but they don't resolve quite enough, and the things that follow really undo them. Hmm. Must trust that as it goes, I'll figure it out. I'm sure odd plot developments I don't know about yet will appear, and that will make a difference.
Meanwhile, my primary main character will continue suffering physically, and my second main character will continue suffering emotionally. BECAUSE I'M A HEARTLESS BASTARD.
