Once again, Mizrahi screws up Project Runway
Well, and he also saved some sanity. I suspect the women would have handed the win to Kenley if Isaac hadn't pushed for Mondo. Clearly none of the judges saw Kenley's previous season on PR, where she made the exact same dress twice. EXACT. SAME. DRESS.
TWICE.
I would have auf'ed her for that alone.
(The guys at Project Rungay have opined that Mondo's dress was also a retread. I grant there are strong similarities between last night's dress and his Fashion Week dress, but the silhouette was actually different--last night's was slinkier. Also, some credit to him for not making similar dresses all the time.)
The place Mizrahi screwed it up was in his love of Jerell. That was one sloppy-ass, too-literal piece of shit Jerell turned out. Mila's was not her best work, but it only needed one thing edited (the skirt) to remove the frankendress quality and make it a cute garment most women would look chic in. Jerell's needed to be completely remade into something else entirely.
Wow. These judges are kind of stupid. Catherine Malandrino (guest judge) was smarter than the other three put together, though it's kind of a low bar.
