Die, bacteria, die!

It's been a very, very busy October, capped off by my getting a nasty round of bronchitis. OT1H, if I still had my tonsils, they might have taken the hit instead of my lungs. OTOH, this is the first time I've been sick since I had the tonsils out 8 months ago, where before they were removed I would have been sick at least twice by now.

Clearly, CON is my dump stat.

Anyway, today I want to sing the praises of Cipro. I first felt sick on Tuesday, then worse on Wednesday, then less bad on Thursday. Then I woke up on Friday coughing up things that I could sell to a special FX production house and said, "Self, you need to go to a doctor."

The best thing about Cipro is how obviously it works. I take a pill, and a few hours later there is a marked and strong improvement. Then the bacteria bounce back and I start to flag a bit and then WHAM, MORE CIPRO FOR YOU, BACTERIA! They die screaming in their millions and all is right in the universe of E's body.

(Yes, the collateral damage of my stomach flora isn't so great, but that's what acidophilus pills are for.)
