We earn vacation time at my job by time served. That is, rather than getting ten or fifteen days at the beginning of the year and parcelling them out, we get X many days per month and accumulate them as we go on. The value of X varies with how long you've been an employee ( Read more... )

An extra 1.68 minutes to your lunch break could mean the difference between soup or salad! Do you choose appetizer or dessert? Or, best of all, one Guinness or four? OH THE CHOICES!!!

...I choose four Guinnesses.

Actually, I would fear the person who can chug three extra Guinnesses in 101 seconds...

I like that my friends are good at math and can figure out that 1.68 minutes rounds to 101 seconds.

I was thinking that maybe the .004 day was from the Earth shifting after the Japanese earthquake, but it was less than .004 day. (grin)

Also, I accrued it before the earthquake.

Which can mean only one thing--my employer can anticipate earthquakes! And since it's too long to account for Japan, there must be another one (or five) coming! Oh noes!
