Birthdays and gameplan

So, I failed to finish the first draft of the current project by WFC. Since it won't be finished at 75K anyway, this is not so awful.
I figure it'll take 80K words total for the draft, so I need another 8K, which is 4-5 scenes, maybe?
That's doable by Thanksgiving. It's an average of 333.3-bar words/day. I have four Tuesdays in there (when I have my jewelry class), and while I sometimes write on Tuesdays, mostly I say those are days I'm not required to do any writing. I also have a freelance project or two, and am going to the movies on Wednesday.
500 words/day would finish it in 16 days, 8 fewer than the available 24.
I think I will set a goal of 500 words/day, with permission to stop at 350 if I want to. Sundays and Saturdays are 500 minimum, with target of 750. Tuesdays are days off if I want.
I'm not certain that making it more complicated makes it easier to stick to, but I can be deliciously contrarian sometimes.
