Oh, PR, you are making me sad.

Last night's Project Runway confirmed for me what I was feeling the past two weeks: the hour-and-a-half format is too long.

Well, maybe it wouldn't be too long if they would put in more of Tim Gunn's critiques, or more of the judges' comments and deliberations, but instead we get a show bloated by more whining from the contestants. Whine whine whine whine whine.

Several have been confused and upset that they don't have enough time. Or that they have to use alternative materials. And they go on at length, complaining how unfair this is, and how the judges should take these things into account. They sound like a bunch of bratty fifteen-year-olds.

I want to smack them and say, "What the hell program did you watch for the past seven seasons?" Did they never watch the show? Did they just try out for this "designing clothes" show without knowing anything about it?

Tip from a writer to the show's editors: If a contestant on the show is annoying the crap out of the other contestants, then they will annoy the crap out of the viewers. I only needed ten seconds of PinkBoy's inane chatter, not the full thirty. After the first minute of Gretchen's ego-feed I got the point. You did not need to go on and on and on showing how full of herself and busybody she was behaving.

I would rather you had floated a conspiracy theory that she deliberately sabotaged Sarah by preying on her insecurities and making her all confused and uncertain of what she was doing. You better have that as a long-term plot point, or I will be very disappointed that you wasted so much of my time last night.

I'm sorry Sarah was punted; I liked her. But I can't argue with the decision--her outfit completely deserved it. Likewise with the win--I would have been annoyed if they gave it to anyone but Andy.
