Dear Barrista,
"Bagel with butter" means WITH BUTTER. Actual fat from cow's milk, congealed and salted, should be spread over the cut surface of the bagel to a thickness such that one can actually taste it. It does not have to be thick, but it should be, you know, detectable without my having to peel open the bagel to check.
Waving a slightly greasy knife in the air above the bread does not constitute the application of butter.
Also, when I say, "three inches of milk," I mean three inches of milk. Is there some sort of impending shortage of dairy products that you feel it necessary to hoard them?
