Do you remember this Story/Book?
I only remember a fragment of it...
There's a man talking, on a spaceship, as it leaves Earth orbit. It has Tut's golden death mask on it, and all the literature of earth in its databanks. He's talking about "all our science, all our art, all those things that make us human" or something like that. There are other ships, and they each have a Treasure of Earth on it (one had the Mona Lisa, I think?), all leaving the planet because some Great Calamity is About To Happen.
