Stop trying to make "WILLENNIUM" happen. It's not going to happen."

Library life. As I've described before, studying for exams here takes on a whole new associated lifestyle. Because our exams are worth so much (around 80-100% depending on your degree) our entire final "quarter," if you will, has no lectures or tutorials or anything and is dedicated solely to studying ("revision"). As a result, the library becomes this micro-community. People honestly live here 24/7, not unlike most major university libraries. People allocate to different floors depending on whhat they need and who they're with. I'm a part of the 2nd floor massive. To be honest, it is the best. And you basically stay in all day, communicating with your friends via the immensely popular "TEXTUAL MESSAGE" or scrunched-up-note-throwing. Every few hours you'll take a break to the bomb-shelter-like basement cafe for tea or food. Sometimes you'll actually go outside, and sometimes people (like me) find excuses to leave George Square altogether about every hour and a half...I've already had a pint today...hmm. You develop this communcal network. Like right now Tim is off on a Tesco run fetching me chocolate and Katie caffeine pills or something. Rab's already kicked out. And I just spent an hour or so on the Lebanese Civil War. Menachem Begin is of interest to me. Any figure who basically makes a bad political decision and spends the rest of his life in seclusion, only emerging to visit his wife's grave seems worth a closer look, In My Opinion. Also, I can't decide if I like, really really love Nasser or not. Yes, rampant anti-Israeli sentiment coupled with instigating some of the most bloody civil wars of the twentieth century, but he was just SO SLICK. I mean this guy is the kind of smooth charmer you know could have gotten into even YOUR pants:

I'm also now obsessed with the Suez Canal. And people in the library who don't know that their ipods are on too loud. And this Boys Brigade (think british foppish dandy boyscouts) sweatshirt I got for £6 from a sick vintage shop.

And Rab and Ross are having a joint caleidh in Perth, about an hour outside the city. Think hot women in hot dresses, hot boys in kilts, lots of booze, Highland dancing, hopefully that "I Would Walk 500 Miles" song, and crashing out in tents in Ross's ESTATE garden. Expect pictures.
