Bienvenue à la Station du Luxembourgeois

Back from Europe/Britain/The Edinburgh University Library.

My two week secret-Dad-planned tour of Europe went like this: Zermmat (skiing village in the alps at the base of the Matterhorn). Liechtenstein. Luxembourg. We were supposed to do Brussels but chose London over it instead, so... and London.

I don't know how to write about all these places, so I won't really write a lot. Liechtenstein is...absolutely amazing. Luxembourg is...dreamlike and beautiful. I'm not being descriptive. London was awesome as usual. Want to live there. Want to live on the tube, changing stations every once in a while just to mix things up. We got reservations at Nobu, a near impossibility for a Friday night. I got seemingly endless sass from the concierge about how it was impossible, and when I forced him to at least check, and lo and behold there was a space for 2 at 6:30 the douch acted like I should be fucking gfrateful. Anyway, didn't get puked on by Sienna Miller or anything, but saw a few familiar faces, mostly British soaps, I think someone from Hollyoaks, blah blah. What I remember distinctly are the train rides. Trains are a funny thing, because though you are exploring these new places, the places you're seeing have the inherent quality of being literally on-the-train-tracks. Hate to admit it, but I kept listening to that one Jack Jonhson song about wanting to get off his train and look around. I have a new famorite author, Kazuo Ishiguro. This man is a monster. Of unbelievable goodness that, like I was saying earlier, I don't know how to write about. "Never Let Me Go" is the name of the book I read on trains. That's all I'll say I guess.

So I'm back. No one's really around, but it's for the best because I have to study for an exam wortth 90%-100% of my grade when I get back. Logic. first semester course but didnt pass the first exam (neither did likt 75%...it's complicated) so have to take it when I get back even though I havent studied it for 4 months. Lots of long distance Rab-calls for revision. We both were in it when things were so awkward we tried to avoid eye contact. Funny how things work out. Sigh.

Ok staring at my icon too much. Off to Novato. Daniel, wake your ass up. Becca, get your ass to call me. Literally, please.
