Preventing Drunk Driving
If you were eating at a restaurant which happened to have a bar attached (and in Virginia, all establishments that serve alcohol must serve food), and as you were leaving you noticed a visibly drunk young woman who was walking toward a car with a set of keys in her hand, what would you do?
In my case, I prevented her from getting into her car and offered to call her a cab. When she became belligerent I asked the restaurant staff for help. When they refused to assist, I called the police and told them that a visibly intoxicated woman was trying to drive a car.
When I say 'visibly intoxicated' I mean fucking trashed, by the way.
So the cops showed up and she put on the water works, but in the end the cops gave her a ride home.
Was I being responsible or being a dick?
