USDA Threatens Cats

The USDA and state agriculture departments have made a point that the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) is about livestock. Maybe for now but in Florida the USDA is trying to tell people what to do with their domestic cats. How long until they include all pets in NAIS? By focusing now on just farmers they slip NAIS in without upsetting the general public who are not concerned with our cows, sheep and pigs. Later the USDA will be able to generalize NAIS to Fluffy and Fido - then the public will wish they had paid attention and protested NAIS while they still could.
NAIS is a threat to our basic privacy and Constitutional rights. We don’t need the Ninny State miss-micromanaging our lives.
