[Was he really that easy to read? Obviously that was the case, at least when it came to his nakama and he can't help but feel... relieved. They don't see each other as much here as they did back home but that doesn't change who they are. Chopper is still their doctor, he'll still keep a sharp eye on them and make sure they'll get better when they're sick or hurt.

Well. Doesn't he feel like an idiot now, playing it off as nothing when he has the best doctor in the world watching him. ]

[Maybe it's just that little inkling of worry he always keeps around, kind of like an alarm that is so easily set off at the slightest sign of medical danger, or an overly watchful eye he's had on the crew ever since he got back, but he doesn't regret that it's there. If it lets him do his job a lot better, then he'll keep it, no matter how much of a burden it tends to be. That's just what they do though. They just go with the flow. Suck it up and move forward.

What kind of pirates would they be if they couldn't do something as simple as that? They couldn't let each other down. Chopper never will. Even when he hears that cough and that worry grows a bit more, it just means he needs to get right to work, and he makes his voice sound as bright and positive as he can, because, darn right you've got the best doctor in the world watching over you. None of their nakama are second-rate. The thought shouldn't ever even leave your head. At least, not again.]
