I don't know about you guys, but I definitely don't want a corporate drone searching out my LJ via an interest search. This is why I actually deleted my interests and took a lot of my fannish graphics out of my profile; this, of course, I would like to only be a temporary fix. When/if they allow users to exclude themselves from results for interest searches made by corporate and "logged out" users, I'll put my interests back up.
In other news, insomnia was recently suspended ( theoretically for spamming or for handing out the personal contact information of a 6A/LJ staffer). While I respect him for not asking people to spam or flame her, this is still a dangerous move on his part. I urge all users to exercise restraint in regards to 6A/LJ staff contact information. Spam is also not a good idea; as an action considered in violation of TOS, it only makes you likely to be suspended.
Please exercise caution in your activism. Don't do anything that the Abuse Team would crack down on you for.
