So yesterday i decided i was sick of how the refridgerator looked, so i busted out the 409 and cleaned it inside and out. It was much needed and looks a million times better. The next thing on the list was the stove, I have never seen this thing cleaned since i have been living. I think the last time anyone cleaned it was probably before my great grandma died, so 1980. After trying a slew of cleaning supplys I had on hand with no avail, we decided to get oven cleaner. That stuff works very well, however heed the warning. It says do not use without gloves, may cause skin irritation. I have always ignored these warning as i have rather thick skin. For one reason or another though it didn't click in my mind that this stuff breaks up fat, the human body has fat, very similar to what this product cleans. Needless to say it literally ate little holes through my skin. Its not life threating or anything, more anoying. I mean it hurts, its up there with paper cut, this is much worse than a paper cut, but the level of anoyance one might have is fairly equal. The stove however looks great, so i lost some skin in the fight for a cleaner home, small price to pay. I have a laundry list of things i "need" to do today, will they get done? We shall see. I'm out.
