Novice States-The Details
So, we left around 6th hour and by we I mean Jamie, Mike, Attiya, Mark, Leland, Heather, Tim, Spencer, Dan, Whitley and I. Jamie, Dan, Mike, Whitley and I rode together with Leland driving, and Heather, Tim and Spencer rode together with Mark driving. We left a little early, and school at Dexter had not let out yet, so we wend to McDoanals and everbody had some lunch as well as some fun discussions and crazy laughs. Whitley thought the cashier was "sexa as a motha fucka" as she put it. He was okay lookin'. After that, we all got to Dexter and chose a table to sit at, nothing big. Mike and I explored the school for a little while, and then we chilled at the table with everyone else as the host was telling us about everthing, ect. After that, Jamie and I got to our first round and we went up against Walled Lake Western, Henry Ford II and Anchor Bay. They were all really good. I've already seen the Anchor Bay and the Ford duo, so it was cool to see them again. Round 1 went okay, I jumbled up a little but not bad. Round two was okay. We went against Ford again, another Anchor Bay duo, Some duo with the Author of Neil Simon, and then I'm trying to remember the other. . . Oh yeah. This one duo who had like shitty acting skills but their emotions were good at some point.
THE WAIT. lol. Not long after 2nd round they post who got in to finals for Duo. Jamie and I wern't up there and I was stunned since I thought we did really good. I was pissed about that for a while, but I got over it and went and got changed. Then Jamie and I went and played BBall in the gym for a while. Or at least tried to because we couldn't find a basketball and we were like searching the whole gym for one. I climbed up and down the bleachers looking. No sucess.
Then, as awards were being given off, the judge called Impromtu, and we know Tim is in it, so he called Spencer for like 6th place, and someone from Groves for 5th. And then he said "Also from Groves, Tim Rivington, 4th place." And I'm like. "He's from UTICA not GROVES!" It was so funnt because when he came back he was like "Yeah Groves!" it was funny as hell. But the funniest thing that happened that night was when Duo's were being awarderd. Now remember....
JAMIE AND I DID NOT BREAK TO FINAL ROUND BUT. . ..
The host said that two Duo's tied for 6th and neither of them got to compete because it would have been unfair to one of the duos, so he said he would give the 6th place trophys to duo and on judges preference.... Scott/Smith. And I'm like WHAT? Like I was so suprised. He was like."From Utica, Scott/Smith."
And it was weird because we tied with another Neil Simon duo, I don't remember if they got trophys or not...I think they did. Not sure. My trophy is so cute. <3
On the ride home was fun, Mike read us a little story and Jamie and I talked for a while. Then it was pretty quiet and everyone was tired and we got to Utica and my dad was there so I went home, showed them my trophy and went to bed.
