the good news and the bad

Dec 20, 2005 06:01

the bad: the only job I thought I might have, the thing that may have saved me from having $0 over new years called and said they'd "keep me in mind for future positions"

the good: centrelink reckon because of the illegal conditions my old work were proposing, I should be able to get payments even though I left voluntarily.

Hurray! So when the woman from the real estate called today and told me we might get a termination notice, I wasn't as terrified as I might have been.

Don't you just love the way the world turns out?
Work sixty hours a week for below minimum wage or face eviction. For christ's sake we're not living in Russia. Are we? Are we? Hang on, which country ARE we living in? I forgot.

The lady from centrelink asked about my qualifications then she said, "How could you be out of work? You'll find something really easily."

WHAT A FAT LOAD OF SHIT. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU HAVE. PEOPLE ONLY HIRE PEOPLE THEY KNOW.

PEOPLE THEY KNOW!!!!!!!!!

Rant for the day over.
