So I went and read 'Louder than Words' by Jessy MacCarthy.
Her approach to parenting was right in the sense she did not give up or stop loving her son dearly. She wanted and demanded the best for her child. However, she made the wrong conclusion.....
Vaccines did mess up her son's immune system, might have helped adminster some allergies, but they DID NOT give her son autism. Anyone who thinks so needs to not breed.
Real reasons why gluten and dairy removal are effective:
-Most Americans actually have gluten allergies that are undiagnosed. Usually gluten only gives you heart burn, or makes you feel a little nauseated when in an allergy form. Most people don't get full reactions. It's not unreasonable to think a child who is autistic (aka hypersensitive) to have worse than usual issues with gluten.
-Its not improbable for your son to be lactose-intolerant. Or at least mostly lactose-intolerant. Again the hypersensitive thing.
So yeah, the diet thing will help some autistic kids, it won't help others.
It doesn't help me.
