Back in town.

Oct 30, 2005 23:57

I got back into town around 6:30 tonight.

I didn't sleep at all between Thursday and Friday. I was up all day Friday and didn't crash out from my case of insomnia until 12 midnight. And crash I did.

I was in St. Petersburg for the weekend for a meeting. I had never been to the city before, so I was interested. It seems to be a slower pace, but definately a nice looing place. Not too large, near the water and stuff to do. My only beef was having to cross the Sunshine Skyway to get there ( a huge suspension bridge over the crossing of the Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico)- there was a terrible accident with it years ago and I have been phobic about bridges ever since. I know- completely irrational, but I saw those pictures as a kid and they messed me up. So okay- I am illogical, so sue me.

Still, I needed a couple of days from home, if for nothing else than to be away from Dad, who is still acting sick or trying to be sick. Men. *sigh* As it is, my nerves are beyond shot, and even with the weekend away, I still felt stressed out. I don't even have clss tomorrow to ease my way through.

Still don't know if the DM concert will be a go on Wednesday. I can only hope and wish that it is. frackattack still is without power and cabin fever is ensuing. Can't blame her a bit. If the show goes on, I hope she can still go. We both need major distractions right about now.

Apart from that- nothing new to report. Just a weekend away and now back.

And Daylight Savings Time is beatin' my ass.

health, fatigue, travel, family, depression
