AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR........
I have started making the cuts as of tonight.
I axed DePaul (though they are a dark horse backup if I get an assistantship) and London Metropolitan, because one doesn't have a PhD in the field I am in and the other one doesn't have a PhD program that I have a feel for vibe wise. I also cut (with GREAT trepidation) Trinity College in Wales, which broke my heart (it's WALES, people, after all- those lovely accents....*sigh*), but I sense my direction turning less from Creative Writing and more towards Literature. I'll still write, I just won't be looking to degree in it now.
So this is the Final Four:

University of Abderdeen
Royal Holloway (University of London)
I hope to make a solid choice by Tuesday and no later than Wednesday, then I'll start sending declines on Monday, to be safe.
