'Look at them....the bleeders.'
Sorry...my new fave line from 'Sweeney Todd', which frackattack and I saw this afternoon @ the movies. I LOVED it, OMG. Johnny Depp can do no wrong with me evermore. He has the total 'rock' singing voice, all raspy on certain notes...*sigh* Yes, I happened to love the movie since you asked. It was quite brill, and only Tim Burton could pull off this musical and keep true to it's dark nature and theme. It was fairly graphic but for once I wasn't squeamish acting. Hmmm.....go fig. Fun note- there was a cameo by Anthony Head, as known as Giles from Buffy! His voice was unmistakable. We both fangeeked about that. Plus strong performances by Alan Rickman (swoon), Helena Bonham Carter and a wonderful turn by Sasha Baron Cohen! (Unexpected but very welcome.)
Johnny & Tim Burton should always make movies together. Always. They make the best movies when they do- 'Edward Scissorhands'. 'Ed Wood'. And now 'Sweeney Todd'. Plus it didn't hurt that Johnny looked like Tim's hair-twin in this either. LOL (Somehow I think Ville would like this movie.......)
Didn't do much afterwards- I dropped her at the train and then went to Blockbuster to rent 'Blades of Glory' and '300' (mostly naked men running around and getting sweaty.....I will be watching that alone tomorrow....*s*), and came home. Been here ever since.
Nothing planned for tomorrow, but may start on the guest room closet in terms of purging and junking stuff. I still need to get those boxes to the library so I can get them out of the house, and actually I need another container (making four all total) to put for books that I am giving away.
