Contrary to rumours
I am very much alive. Just busy as all hell. Worked straight from Saturday to tonight (tomorrow, Friday and Saturday off). So I have been catching up on sleep and working, which has been the gist of my week.
Bought two Beatles cds last night on the suggestion of a co-worker, 'Revolver' and 'Rubber Soul' (didn't have those). Damn, I have been playing 'Revolver' the whole way through and there isn't a song that I don't like on it. Hard to believe it's almost 40 years old now, wow. I'll have to thank him when I see him next for hipping me to these two.
Also bought lately:
-Nicola Hitchcock: "Passive Agressive'
-two volumes of 'Rouroni Kenshin' (21 and 22), and a volume each of 'The Tarot Cafe' and 'Descendants of Darkness'
-'H.M.S. Surprise' by Patrick O'Brian
-'Brokeback Mountain' by Annie Proulx (the short story)
-two classical albums, 'For the Hopeless Romantic' and 'For Book Lovers'
Plus two of my Japan cds came in! 'Adolescent Sex' and 'Oil on Canvas'. God, but I am so hooked on them both. :)
I have the new Kate Bush on hold till Saturday night, along with two Godzilla (recent) movies and the Stones' 'Steel Wheels'. I think I might actually be tapped on what I want now, which can only be good. :)
And now showing off my new(ish) Hyde icon. Ah yes, Hyde-san, it is so true...:)
