The end of the work week

Dec 30, 2005 23:50

And I am DEAD. I had to open today and ran the department until I got relief for lunch and then someone came in at 4:30 for coverage. I was handling doing an entire changeover sale for next week by myself. If I wasn't a smart girl, I would have been overwhelmed.

I am smart....and I was overwhelmed. :) But not too badly. Changing sales alone, by the way, is NO kinda joke. I don't know how my supervisor does it, or I just must be out of practice in a big way.

But I stayed late, had everything separated for the set-up (music and DVD's) and marked accordingly. I don't think I left anything to chance. If I did, it's because it's just popped up on me. I just remembered- I forgot to mention something about tags in my note. I marked the box though, so oh well. It's not too major, so I won't stress it.

I actually have tomorrow off-huzzah! I worked a 10 hour shift today (got paid too), so this body is kinda burned out for the night. But I purchased the following:

-Phoenix: 'Alphabetical'

-Jamie Cullum: 'twentysomething' & 'Catching Tales'

-Chris Botti: 'Night Sessions:Live' (DVD)

-'Yellow Submarine'- The Beatles! (DVD)- been wanting this one for YEARS.

And UM....wow. I go to take a shower, read a little, take a rest and come back to check mail online. The game's over.....

And LSU won.

Yikes.

And then to top it off, two UM players get got cold by some LSU players, one of whom is a Miami native. Guess he won't be invited to many parties when he comes home for the summer. Maybe a few beat downs if he starts crowing about it......

It's a good thing I don't know any LSU alum or I'd be hearing it right about now.

Of course, my fair weather fan, spoiled by their success family members are ready to villify the entire organization because they got beat so badly. If it helps them sleep better, let them go at it. But I personally don't want to hear it.

Guess I'll be hanging in my room for the weekend.
