Sorry- cheesy use of Beck title there. I couldn't think of anything else.
After a day off, back to work today. I was stil rather pooped out but had a half a liter of water and a nice snack bar for breakfast before work started, so that got me through to lunch, actually. Today was the Holiday gathering- we had food brought in- baked ziti, salad, garlic rolls, plenty cupcakes and sodas and chips galore, which was good because I had exactly a dollar and fifty cents for lunch and would have been eating chips and water otherwise.
We were busy in patches. Not too crazy to be truthful. But then again it *is* only the 22nd. The 24th is the litmus test. I technically have tomorrow off, but I might call in around noon to see if I am needed to close tomorrow night.
Plus tomorrow is pay day. Yup- I get paid weekly. I could get used to that. This week's check should be a lulu. I have a bunch of stuff on layway- I found an Eno cd that we had, so I had to grab that. :) (It was 'Another Day on Earth'.) I still don't know what to get the parentals and L.A. Boy. Gift cards might be the order of the day, if I can't find something they'd like. I might get Mom Johnathan Butler or something, Dad possibly Blood Sweat and Tears or Brubeck and I dunno what to get bro. Everyone is just so hard to shop for, and I don't have extra time to shop for family. Heck, if I can find some planners I might just get those. If I go in tomorrow (and I probably will just to get my check and buy my stuff), I'll grab about three and go for mine. Best Buy is out of the question after what I heard from customers today- total pandemonium.
Gift cards- would $25 be enough for all members of the family? I think I could manage that. I dunno. I'll decide overnight. Not trying to be cheap, but I just don't know what to buy for them anymore. Gift cards may seem like a cop out, but they also keep you from having to do returns too.
