[The video shows China hanging around the Latimir area.]

Does anyone know for sure if the science lab at the school still has chemicals that can be used?

I need saltpeter, pure sulfur, and carbon, aru. Oh, and silkworms! Where can I find silkworms on this planet?

silkworms get, where: discedo, chemistry, let's make gundpowder

Are you an alchemist, my friend?

I have worked with alchemists before back in China and I even did some alchemy myself, but I would not call myself a full-fledged alchemist, aru.

Does your question mean you know what those three ingredients can make? [He smiles a little.]

[Spyro thinks for a moment.]

Are you trying to make fire sand? The moles used things alike to make a sort of gray sand that would burn with might.

Fire sand? Does it explode? Because in my world, those three make what we call gunpowder, aru.

It does explode. Moles began to use it to imitate the blast of flames we dragons can make. Some of our elders believed they were committing an atrocity though, considering the fact that they were trying to gain the power only dragons could obtain.

Perhaps it could be called gunpowder.

Moles making gunpowder, aru... That sounds so strange.

The Chinese alchemists were actually hoping to make the elixir of life. They only stumbled upon gunpowder by accident, aru. However, I think it is a good thing they did or else we would not have fireworks or weapons.

I want to make gunpowder because I told Denmark that I would try to make some fireworks for the party he wants to hold.

A party sounds fantastic.

What are fireworks, though?

I know that we are trapped in a cruel reality and that we should be concerned about the monsters as well as our safety, but a party every once in awhile is alright, aru. It is not illegal. [He's still considering what Heiji said since he did have a point.]

Fireworks are basically these explosives that can be launched into the air to create a beautiful burst of light, aru. They can come in many colors and sizes. We used them on several occasions back in China, aru.

That's an interesting way of using fire sand. I would have never thought you could make it into more than one color.

Nor did I back in the day, aru. I did not think we could use gunpowder to make war rockets at first either.

Well in fact, war rockets were the first thing we thought of using them for. In Warfang we fire cannons with them.

My alchemists needed to do more experiments with gunpowder before making it into a weapon, aru.

I am not surprised the dragons used them for such a purpose first since they are such wise creatures.

It was in fact the moles idea to use it. They wanted to imitate dragon's ability to breathe fire.

The guardians thought it controversial at first, but after the war they didn't care anymore.

Usually when it comes to war, nothing really matters anymore, aru.

I keep hoping and fighting for a brighter future, but from what the other Nations tell me, I might be in for a depressing ride.
